sofaheld – level design

Background Assets and Icons for the interactive exercise feature sofaheld for sofatutor GmbH. In sofaheld, students age 6~12 follow a character across an adventure map, solving different interactive exercises along the way. The maps show two different worlds to explore and make the journey fun and exciting to partake in.
Smilla & Deri – world & character development
2020
Visual development of characters for a series of videos at sofatutor GmbH. Best friends Smilla the chipmunk and Desiderius "Deri" the badger guide students through over 60 videos about German grammar & spelling. Their adventures start out in their home in a city park and them everywhere – to the sea, to the Middle Ages, to space – one time they even get sucked into a video game! How Six Made Their Way in the World
2017
Concept Art created for my bachelor project at Hochschule Rhein Main. The project is a manual/artbook for a fictive Point&Click Adventure game based on the Grimm Brothers' fairytale How Six Made Their Way in the World. The story follows protagonist Philipp Philippson on his adventure around the world where he picks up five companions with unique abilities, out-manoeuvres a sly king and wins the hand of his daughter.
Lafayette – Comic project
2016
Two spreads created for a project at Hochschule RheinMain. The brief was to create a short comic telling the story of a moment in a historical person's life. Having just read a biography of the life of the Marquis de La Fayette I chose this tragic moment of his learning about the death of his child back in Europe, while he had to keep his spirits high in the American Revolutionary War.
gun & hide – Concept & Character Art
2015
Conceptual and final art done for an interdisciplinary group project at Hochschule RheinMain, in cooperation with Envision Entertainment. The brief was to create a concept for a multiplayer mobile strategy game with gameplay reminiscent of titles like Advance Wars or Fire Emblem. The final game concept gun & hide, set in a 20s Mafia movie type world, would have allowed the player to chose between either faction (Police vs. Mafia), recruit characters and lead them in a battle against a player of the opposing faction in a game of strategy. The finalized characters are created in the style of Lead Artist Deborah Hauber.
